The Economic & Social Development and Tourism Directorate is eager to update our database of youth from the Overstrand Municipal area who are currently unemployed.

You’re invited to apply and verify your information on the following databases:

The Building Industry Bargaining Council (BIBC) will be visiting Hermanus on 11 May 2022 and Gansbaai on 12 May 2022 at the Hermanus Municipal Auditorium and Gansbaai Academia Clubhouse respectively.

Anybody in the construction industry and operating in the Overstrand area are welcome to attend regardless of whether they are a registered member of the Bargaining Council for the Construction Sector.

During the roadshow, officials of BIBC will engage with the public on:

• Employee Benefit Administration Services
• Dispute Resolution Services
• Collective Agreement Service

Sites in Overstrand will be operational from 09:00 - ±14:00 weekday mornings for Phizer and J&J shots/boosters.

Overstrand municipality is rolling out a snap community survey – Building Control and Town Planning, for the next seven days, ending, 11 May for Building Control Department and 13 May 2022 for Town Planning Department.

The municipality is looking at the way forward in transforming the cost and ease of doing business in the Overstrand. All residents are encouraged to participate throughout the Overstrand municipal area, including Greater Gansbaai, Stanford, Greater Hermanus and the Hangklip - Kleinmond area.

The results will allow the council to identify possible gaps and contribute toward efficient and successful way of doing business in the Overstrand.
