Our Operational Services Department is experiencing high call volumes from residents requesting tanker services.

These services are placed under tremendous strain after the rain and it is taking extra time to attend to all households. Expect 3 – 4 days’ delay.

Kindly note, residents requesting tanker services today, will only be helped on Sunday or Monday.

Herewith the new electricity tariff scale from 1 July 2021 till 30 June 2022:

0 - 350 units = R1.6636 (vat incl) per unit
350 Units = R582.26
351 - 600 units = R2.4926 (vat incl) per unit
250 units = R623.15
600+ units = R3.1239 (van incl) per unit
Indigent without free units are entitled to buy 450 units
(50 @ free
350 @ R1.6636 = R 582.26 PLUS
100 @ R2.4926 = R 249.26
Total = R 831.52

The Overstrand Municipality’s Building Control Department in Hermanus is closed until Tuesday, 6 July 2021 after an employee tested positive for COVID-19.

Funding for this year's Comprehensive Agricultural Support Package (CASP) applications are open.

This funding  aims to assist the following:
1. Community food gardens
2. School food gardens
3. Producers/Household gardens and
4. Livestock production (Small & Large stock)

Farmers in the Overstrand, who meet the requirements, are encouraged to apply for this opportunity BEFORE 16 July 2021.
