Blue Flag Season comes to an end for Hawston and Kleinmond

The Blue Flag Season at the beaches of Hawston and Kleinmond came to an end  n Sunday, 15 January.
Grotto’s Blue Flag status will remain effective till 31 March 2017.

LIFEGUARDS ON DUTY

Swimming Pools:
The swimming pools in Hawston and Hermanus (situated between Zwelihle and Mt Pleasant) continue to enjoy the full services of lifeguards till 30 April.

Kleinmond/Hangklip
Lifeguards will be on duty daily between 09:00 – 18:00 during weekends only till 31 January at the beaches of Kleinmond, Kleinmond Lagoon, Palmiet, Betty’s Bay, Silver Sands and Pringle Bay


Greater Hermanus  area
Lifeguards will continue to man beaches on a daily basis between 09:00 - 18:00 until 31 January at Hawston, Grotto East, Grotto West, Voëlklip, Kammabaai, Onrus, Onrus Lagoon, Langbaai and Sandbaai.

Please note that, accidents can happen at any time. When the sea is rough, avoid swimming, or do not swim unaccompanied!  Beach-goers are reminded to remain vigilant at all times when the weather is bad which causes treacherous underwater currents.
