After the 2021 Local Government Elections, new Ward Committees in all wards will be established.

Overstrand Municipality will be having an additional Ward with changes in demarcation as set out below.

Ward 1:     Stanford and Thembelihle
Ward 2:     Gansbaai North-East and Masakhane
Ward 9 & 10:     There is a change in the Ward demarcation between ward 9 and ward 10 with the ward boundary being moved to now include Beverly Hills/Extension 6 in Ward 9
Ward 11:     Baardskeerdersbos, Eluxolweni, Pearly Beach, Buffeljagsbaai and Franskraal
Ward 14:     Blompark, De Kelders, Gansbaai South-West and Van Dyksbaai

Collage Road between Royal Street and Mitchell Street in Hermanus will be closed on Monday, 13 September 2021 from 08:00 – 13:00.

Shoprite is currently in the process of renovating and upgrading the Checkers store at The Hermanus Station Mall. As part of the refurb, refrigeration equipment needs to be removed and new equipment craned onto the plant slab.

Officers will be on scene to divert traffic.

The Independent Electoral Commission says it’s an opportunity for new voters to register and for existing voters to update their details.

The final date for elections is still under consideration by Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs Minister Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma. The municipal election is planned to take place between 27 October and 1 November 2021.

Remember, you must be registered to vote where you live - even already registered voters can use the voter portal to check and update their voters' roll addresses.
